Was this setup working before? Any recent changes? Did you try to boot the backup kernel?

Hope this helps!

Shalom,

What were you trying to do? Install an OS? If so what EFI command were you using?

Has the system ever worked?

What release of 11vi3? More recent might be better.

Firmware updated on the blades?

Booting of network or local disk?

@Steven E. Protter and Torsten
Yes this setup was working like a charm

Q1: "What release of 11vi3? More recent might be better."

A1: I think it's 11iv3 HA edition release November 2009

Q2 :"Firmware updated on the blades?"
A2 :I'm not sure

Q3 : "Booting of network or local disk?"
A3 : It's booting from local disk

@Steven E. Protter and Torsten

Re: hp-ux11iv3 crash on integrity bl870c during os kernel boot

Salaam Hassan,

The backup kernel is used to boot the server is cases wherein booting thru the "primary" kernel fails.

Its hard to type the whole procedure. Best look:

Try booting from the backup kernel.

You might try booting to single user mode and running fsck.

hpux -is

It looks like the system was reset while the config.krs file was being written to.

If you want it or not doesn't matter if the kernel is bad now.

Try the backup kernel.

Hope this helps!

Re: hp-ux11iv3 crash on integrity bl870c during os kernel boot

boot to backup kernel failed as there are no backup kernel under /stand just only the original kernel
can i copy kernel file under /stand from healthy system with configuration and replace it on the affected system is there way like this
