HPUX 11i DVD media.

Hi friends,

I got a used rp3440 with two internal disks. There is an OS 11.11 already on it. I would like to install Either 11iv2 or v3 on it.

Is there a way I can download the install media from HP ?. I am not doing any business with that so I guess , I am ok from the licensing point of view.

Any ideas ? I would appreciate it.

Regards,

Kaps

No. (Perhaps if you had a support contract?)

These statements aren't connected.
You need to purchase the media, other threads mention possibly on ebay.

The support matrix says that 11.31 is supported on rp3440.

Hello,

companies that have established partnership with HP are eligible for obtaining HP-UX instllation media free of charge. There are of course licensing restrictions that do apply.

Re: HPUX 11i DVD media.

Shalom,

Media can not be downloaded.

Base media costs $300.

You also get it if you have a software service contract with HP.

Don't forget to update the firmware before using 11i v3.

I don't see a reason to go to 11.23 unless an application requires it because it has the same end of life date as 11i v1
