Installing gettext as 64 bit library

I have downloaded the gettext-0.10.40 source from the HP-UX website. Can anyone tell me the sequence of steps to install it as a 64 bit library.

My HP-UX version is HP-UX Itanium 2 11.31..

Thanks in advance

i tried the following flags as in the other thread..
# ./configure CFLAGS='+DD64'
I got the error invalid host type CFLAGS='+DD64'

is the 64 bit version of the gettext library available?? if not how compile the source as 64 bit library?

Re: Installing gettext as 64 bit library

But the gettext that is got as a depot file is a 32 bit one. I need a 64 bit library. How can I compile it from source.

Hi Harichand

I think you didn't see perfectly in this site.
Your required file for 11.31 is located in http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/cgi-bin/redirect?hpux/Gnu/gettext-0.17/gettext-0.17-ia64-11.31.depot.gz

How do you think this is for 32-bit?

Because file(1) and common sense told us.
Every executable says:
ELF-32 executable object file - IA64
Every lib was in lib/hpux32 and each said:
ELF-32 shared object file - IA64

Of course it doesn't help to have swlist say:
gettext.gettext-RUN,r=0.17,a=HP-UX_B.11.31_64
