Linux hangs while restart

Hey guys, appreciate ur help on the below scenario:

I have Linux OS RH4 U5 runing on DL380 G5, when installing on this server 2 HBA fiber AE311A and connecting them on a SAN swicth and restarting the server it hangs in the middle of the restart at the "Initialization hardware" stage and it stay like this forever.

But when i go and remove the fiber cable from one of the SAN swicthes the Linux continues it's restart.

Any ideas on whats happening and how can i solve this prob?

Thanks

Re: Linux hangs while restart

Shalom,

I've seen this before.

Boot without fiber

Then connect it and install the latest PSP and drivers, then use ACU to set up storage and reboot.

It should boot after that. If not, check HBA firmware.

Re: Linux hangs while restart

Hi,

I've already have all my PSP and drivers updated, also i already installed ACU but the ACU cannot see my MSA1000 so i managed my MSA through CLI.

But my server keeps hanging, and the irony is that while 1 fiber card HBA is installed is starts but when both connected it hangs.
