Linux support of Automatic Server Restart (ASR)?

Is anyone aware of any Linux support for ASR functionality that is included with HP NetServers?

Are you talking about autoreboot? - where, if it
loses power, and then power is restored, it comes up by itself?

Mine does that. All I have is the default entry in set to "5" - for full X11.

Re: Linux support of Automatic Server Restart (ASR)?

Thanks, but "No". ASR is a hardware feature that requires some kind of driver. It automatically restarts a server if the OS hangs. I don not know, but I imagine that it is some kind of timer that the device driver enables, and periodically resets. If the driver does not reset it (OS hung) then the hardware initiates a reboot. HP provides drivers for NT, Netware, SCO but not Linux (best I can find out).
