Major differences between HP-UX ver 2 and HP-UX ver 3

Hi Guys

Can anyone tell me where to get detailed doc documenting the major as well as minor differences between HP-UX version 2 and HP-UX version 3.

One of the most major dfferences is certainly the "agile view" of the I/O structure.
HP-UX 11i v2 only shows physical paths, while HP-UX 11i v3 shows "logical paths" : one path for one physical disk, whatever amount of physical paths is present. You don't have to worry about multipathing anymore, and I/O is balanced over multiple paths, while HP-UX 11i v2 only uses one active and the others as failover.
Another thing (for Itanium) is a better, more efficient compiler, which gives a performance boost.

I see that Secure Path is no longer supported in HP-UX ver 3, so what multipathing software does it use?

While there is no difference in the latest IPF compilers between 11.23 and 11.31, the big different in 11.31 was that a newer compiler was used to compile HP-UX, and fancy-smancy compiler options were used. :-)
