Measuring SAN I/O

I'm currently utilizing Fibre HBAs on Integrity class servers (rx4640/rx6660). I have a mix of QLogic & Tachyon HBAs. OS is HP-UX 11.23. I'm looking for a way to measure HBA utilization to identify I/O bottlenecks. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Re: Measuring SAN I/O

You can do it on the server by using sar and glance. But whether you find a bottleneck on the server or not that does not say anything about you SAN performance. You could still have (or have not) bottlenecks on the SAN based on how you share the traffic and array group spindles. So more appropriately you should look in your SAN vendor's software library for performance monitoring tools. Sometimes they are included with the SAN storage system, but you may have to purchase them separately.
