Missing graphic "drivers" on a C8000
second post on this forum. This time is about the graphic support for a FireGl T2 on a C8000.
Long story short, the C8000 has been installed a couple of days ago with 11i v1 , cd set of September 2005.
The HWE is up to date (downloaded the latest, and it refuses to install claiming to be all up to date). Installed also the free graph add ons from the sw depot.
No matter what, I keep getting the white screen with the warning saying that the opengl etc support is missing and to install it from the cd that should have been shipped either with the videocard or with the c8000 itself.
Any help ?
Alessandro

Re: Missing graphic "drivers" on a C8000
I think it may have refused to install all the packages included inside

Re: Missing graphic "drivers" on a C8000
tried again to install
B6268AA
and I got an issue caused by 2 missing prerequisites
PHSS_32976.X11-SERV
PHSS_34392.X11-SERV
that prevents installing everything

Re: Missing graphic "drivers" on a C8000
-x enforce_dependencies=false
i.e swinstall -x enforce_dependencies=false -s
If you used CLI, then select from options, and change the "enforce_dependencies" option to "false".

Re: Missing graphic "drivers" on a C8000
swlist -l patch or product grep -i Xserv ?
if yes is it in a configured state swlist => -a state ?
If no install it first ? I'd advise not disabling the dependancies as this is a workstation.

Re: Missing graphic "drivers" on a C8000
after my last post, I've installed
B6268AA_B
ignoring the dependencies, and apparently has solved the issue.
Guess it was all due to a wrong order of installation of the depots..
After the restart the warning vanished, and apparently seems all working (hope murphy's not lurking...)
