mouse does not work on console connected to dl380g5 servers
Hello,
I have 4 DL380 G5 servers on which i have installed linux red hat enterprise 4.
I am managing the server trough a console and KVM console switch (HP 1x4 USB/PS2 KVM cnsl Switch), and I am using PS2 connection , but the mouse does not work anymore.
What could the problem be? do i need any driver or firmware upgrade ? or it is resolved through Linux itself?
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards
Samer

Re: mouse does not work on console connected to dl380g5 servers
I didnt try to connect the mouse of the console direclty to the server , but i did connect another mouse PS2 on the server and it worked fine , i think it is related to the KVM switch .
anyway i will try to connect the mouse direclty to the server and get back to you soon.
Thanks for your help
Samer

Re: mouse does not work on console connected to dl380g5 servers
Hello,
I have connect the mouse of the console directly to the console and it worked finee, and after connecting it back to the KVM , the mouse moved , but it is not good , i dont know how to explain the behavior , but it seems like stopping and moving bad.
the problem is now for sure on the side of the KVM.
what do you think ?
Thanks a lot
Samer
