MySQL : show table status like hang the second time

I use MySQL from the Internet Express pack (5.0.45) or direct from MySQL (5.0.51a).

When I dump my database, the second time, it hangs.
I see that the request which is blocked is a "show table status like 'table'".

I found some bug references at MySQL : http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=12071

As I never had this problem on the same database on Linux, I wonder if someone else had the same problem here ?
