I found your notes useful. But the problem is (FC6) with wifi and Broadcom card. I tried ndiswrapper but - I see all access points around me, but I do not get IP from them. Can you help? Thank you.

Shalom,

Well, a newer version of Fedora is likely to have better hardware support. Better support means its more likely to get an ip address from the Wireless Access point.

Try changing the network type from managed to adhoc in the wireless tool, that sometimes helps if you must stick with FC4.

Thank you for your reply. I tried everything I think. Now I use Fedora 6, with core 2.6.18-1.2868.fc6. I have instaled ndiswrapper (with yumex). I tried to follow your steps. Everything seems ok. I can see APs. LED light changes from off to on. In Windows it is still on. In my laptop there is wireless card Broadcom 4306. Here is some more information from console. Maybe you would be interested in it.

Not to burst any bubbles, but since we are on the subject of info regarding FC4, I feel I have to include this link:

Not good news for any of us with FC4 or older versions running...
