both are on hpux 11iv2. application is temonas.

Usually the kernel parameter optimization should be done with the suggestion from oracle, so first step would be checking your current limits against the recommendations (Version depending).

That appears to be an error generated by OEM and not HP-UX.  Log into OEM and look for more details about the error.  If you can determine which kernel parameters it is talking about then you can adjust those parameters accordingly.

Which Oracle version you are using?? In 10.2.0.4.0 there is patch for this BUG. I guess u are seeing this error message in LGWR process logs?

I would try to compare the recommended Oracle parameters for this DB version against the current kernel parameters, you may certainly get this trouble due a lower value in one of them.
