Problem with a StorageTeck library on a redhat ES 3 server
Hello,
I'm trying to connect a PC style server to a Storagetek L20 library.
The entire chain is :
PC <-> Compaq FC switch <-> Compaq FCTC <-> StorageTek.
My server runs RedHat ES 3. I can't see the DEC TZ89 tape drive in the Storagetek library.
The 'cat /proc/scsi/scsi' command shows the FCTC, but no tape drive. The zoning of my FC switch seems to be good.
Can someone help me ?
Thanks.

Re: Problem with a StorageTeck library on a redhat ES 3 server
Could it be (though it would seem strange) that the kernel does have multiple lun support disabled?
yesterday I stood at the edge. Today I'm one step ahead.

Re: Problem with a StorageTeck library on a redhat ES 3 server
The kernel recognise yet number of luns :
2 scsi local drives, 1 lun on a SAN...
In addition; the 'dmesg' command and the boot sequence shows an error "Unknow device" (device code #31).
