problem with mozilla

hi,
I am using HP V2 machine
When I try to open in the mozilla I go this message
www.yahoo.com could not be found. Please check the name and try again

This is not really a mozilla problem.

I guess this is your default start page.

Check if you need to set a proxy, check your name resolution, check if you have a firewall somewhere that is blocking this connection.

proxy is set up in the mozilla properties window

check name resolution
# nslookup www.yahoo.com

regarding the firewall:
ask your network people

You should look into using firefox instead.
(You may have the same issues.)

DNS is not configured - that's your problem.

Several ways to set this up, one of them is

# set_parms addl_netwrk
