Regarding snmp v3

Hi,

Please share me the procedure to check current snmp version (v2 or v3) running on my HP-UX B.11.31 box. 

In addition, please share me the procedure to install and configure SNMP V3 replacing current running version in HP-UX B11.31 box if SNMP V3 is not running currently.

Hi Hassel,

Currently snmp is installed and running in B.11.31 box. But i want to check whether SNMP v2 or v3 is running. Also, in case v2 is running, i want to modify current configuration so that i can run snmp v3 instead of v2. Please assist.

I looked at the patch mention in the what-strings: PHSS_43175.
 In earlier versions of the patches, there are mentions of V3. 
So you have V3 running.

This patch is dated 2021.
The latest patch is PHSS_44265 dated 2015.

However, SNMP has moved from a patch environment to a free software package.
The 43175 patch is the last of the 16.xx version.
The latest package is C.17.3.4 from https://myenterpriselicense.hpe.com/cwp-ui/download/null/null/null/HPUX-SNMP
