Sound on Pavilion 6635

Has anyone got sound working under linux
for the Pavilion 6635 or a related model?
The sound chipset seems to be Crystal on the
motherboard, but the CS4232 module does not
load properly.

If this is the Crystal Sound controller, then it should be supportted. Here's the Sound-HOWTO http://www.linuxdoc.org/HOWTO/Sound-HOWTO-3.html

I would also expect that if it is the Crystal CS4232 controller, that you should be able to add the following line into your /etc/conf.modules file:

alias sound-slot-0 cs4232

When that's complete, I would also recommend running depmod -a to determine if you have any dependancy problems.
