sytem halted no input data on mandrake 9.10

Hi,

Client has a Ml 350 g2 loaded with mandrake 9.10. Installation goes 100%, but when it reboots it come up with a "sytem halted no input data" error & just hangs there.
Any one have any cluse what this means, or even whether its a hardware or software issue. BTW same client has anothet 350 with same installation running ok.

Hi,

You don't tell me what it does boot with but... most likely the kernel gets read and uncompressed. The uncompress routine does not find the end of compressed kernel sign.

I suggest to replace the kernel by booting from an alternative media like cdrom.

You have another identical system so the kernel can be copied from there...
