Hi,

Two users are logged in their machines, can the fist user talk to another user who is in other machine

ex: Machine A has user A
Machine B has User B, can machine A User A use talk command to talk to machine B user B.

when i try i get the following message
[Your party is refusing messages]

Make sure both users have run "mesg y" to allow access to other users.
Never preceed any demonstration with anything more predictive than "watch this"

You have to have talk-server package installed and enabled.
It's xinetd based service
in redhat 6.2 I guess you have to edit the file /etc/inetd.conf and change the line with ntalk to enabled.


try to run
chkconfig ntalk on
