Re: unable to run clusterware package on service guard

"I have changed the defective FC card , ... do I need to reconfigure anything after the Hardware replacement?"

Do you use WWN based zoning? If you do, you need to adjust the config on the switch.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Is this FC claimed by ioscan. Otherwise, you have to do a insf -e

You have to deactivate the volume groups for the clusters and make them cluster aware as in my above post and enable it again.

Re: unable to run clusterware package on service guard

Hi Rasheed,

Thanks again.
in fact I have searched the ioscan and found 2 entires for the "fcparray" which corresponds to one card I think (I have 2 cards on each server). on the other server there are 4 entries.
I have made insf -e but nothing changed, I have then restarted the server but it did not help.
what do you think?

Best Regards,

Re: unable to run clusterware package on service guard

ioscan -fnCctl (look for the initiator)
ioscan -fnCfc

If you have card which is not found by the system then one reason is that it is not seated correctly on the system. You have to inspect the system and see how many of them are there on the system.

Re: unable to run clusterware package on service guard

Could you post the output of "ioscan -fn" please?

Did you already check the zoning configured on your switches?

Maybe you need to adjust the WWN based presentation on your array too.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: unable to run clusterware package on service guard

For FC cards the HBA will sense the settings with the switch - you can't change them on the host.
Check with (example):

# fcmsutil /dev/fcd0

(or whatever applies).

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: unable to run clusterware package on service guard

It is better to give the output of ioscan -fn as asked by Torsten. That would give a good idea about the hw in your system.

ioscan -fnCfc
will show the dev path for the FCs and do fcmsutil on it.
