Re: Upgrading HP-UX 11iv1

How do I check on the existing firmware versions of the various components. There are SCSI, FC, Ethernet, etc. I would like to learn the correct methods to collect these bits of information.

Also, are there any known problems with 3440/3410 upgrading to/running 11iv3/v2 ?

Check here the server compatibility matrix, if rp3440/3410 is supported for 11iv3 upgrade:
http://h20338.www2.hp.com/hpux11i/downloads/public_hp-ux_systems_support.pdf

The document says it is supported for 11iv3.

- Also to check the sotrage compatibility you have run the msv2v3check utility once it is upgraded to 11iv2 . The result to be check by HP for firmware compatibility or if any component such as PDC or SCSI firmware needs upgrade before going to 11iv3 upgrade.
