Drive initialization on a 3PAR 8200

We added Some new drives yesterday morning to the 3PAR system and it is still initializing. The Uninitialized number gets low, then creeps up, and back down again. Once it got down below 100000 MiB it around noon yesterday it has been fluctuating, going up and down. The Free space has been fluctuating as well, but in general it has slowly been increasing.  Is there a reason why it would be taking this long?

UPDATE: It finally finished, but took nearly 24 hours after the drives were added.

Can you please help me with the details - how many drives you added, what is the type of drives, what is the drive capacity, what was the existing capacity and used capacity before? How many cages are you using in the system?
