Extend CPG for 3par 8400
Hello,
I'm new with 3par, we added a new cage with 6 disks to 3par 8400.
The new disk are ready and we need to add them to the main CPG.
do we just need to tune system for the required CPG or there are further steps to do ?
Regards

Re: Extend CPG for 3par 8400
Hi
once you add new disks to the system they are added to the CPG if they are
the same disk type (FC ,SSD or NL) it is recommended that they are same
capacity as existing disks. the new disks are used the moment you add them.
run showpd -i
after that you should run "tunesys" to spread the data evenly on all disks
sometimes tunesys starts automaticly depending on your software version.
Regards
give a KUDO if this helps
