HP 3PAR StoreServ 7200 - Read performance
We are going to set up a new VMware solution that consists of the following parts:
3 HP DL380 Gen8, 256GB memory
1 HP 3PAR StoreServ 7200
2 HP M6710 Drive Enclosure
54 HP M6710 900GB SAS 10K HDD
8 HP M6710 100GB SSD
2 Cisco WS-4500X-32SFP+
Every host (HP DL380 Gen8) will have 20Gbit (2x10Gbit) connection to the network and 16Gbit (2x8Gbit) to the drive enclosures.
We are going to host approximately 50 different SCCM distribution servers.
Therefore read performance is our main priority.
Network <60Gbit> Hosts <48Gbit>Drive enclosures.
Is it possible to calculate the read performance from the drives and the drive enclosures?
We don’t want the drive enclosures to be the bottleneck and in the future, we want to be able to add more VMware hosts.
So we need to know the read performance in MB from the drive enclosures.
Regards
Mattias
