Installing 3PAR Virtual SP (Service Processor) on Xenserver 6.2
Hello All,
I did a brief search on Xenserver and found nothing. We are a %99.9 XenServer shop and have just implemented a Storserv 7200. Since we live and breathe Xen we wanted to install our SP as Xen VM. We Converted the VMware image to Xen and everything seems fine however we were unable to get the SP to phone home back to HP. When asking support we are told it is unsupported. While I understand why HP not supporting a hypervisor with a minority install base I am frustrated since it seems to work %100 otherwise.
Are there any users out there with experience installing a SP on XenServer?
Our SP Version is 4.2.0 GA-29+002
Thanks

For good reason. We wasted 3+ weeks because unsupported VMWare Player was being used.
When the packets were > ~1500 B, it kept retransmitting packets over and over.
And wasn't found until tcpdump was used. :-(
What version of HP 3PAR Storage System are you using?

Our version of the 3PAR Storage System is 3.1.3MU1. It's a 7200.

Then you can also use Hyper-V for your VSP.
