Remotecopy Hyper-V Failovercluster with HP3PAR 7200 storage
We have several Microsoft Cluster (2012,2016 and 2019) on two datacenter which were configured with
Remotecopy (Synchronous mode) . Original volume and Remotecopy volume were exported to the hosts. all Luns were visible. But when I move VMs to a host to reboot the empty host I lost ClustershareVolumes and all VMs are unacessible. Pathmanagement and Autofailover was enbaled in Remote
Copy Groups. I have this behavior with all operating systems. I have tested it on IBM Bladecenter and HP .
Even moving the cluster volumes does not work.
Gen9 machines. Now I have unexported Remotecopy volumes , but therefore I have no transparent failover.
Thank you for your help !

Re: Remotecopy Hyper-V Failovercluster with HP3PAR 7200 storage
Hi G├╝nter Niersbach
Thank you for coming on HPE community forums.
I would like to know
1. Does every host lose all volumes when on host is rebooted? Or is it only within one cluster?
2. How is your zoning? (Assuming FC SAN)
3. What's your 3PAR OS version? (with patches?)
4. As you're saying VMs, I'm assuming Hyper-V?
5. Was "Path verify" or similar activated in MPIO configuration? (Not Sure this is relevant)
Regards

Re: Remotecopy Hyper-V Failovercluster with HP3PAR 7200 storage
Hi Mahesh202
1. only the CSV Volumes which was activ on the rebooted Host was lost.
2. Zoning is so that the hosts have 4 paths to the first 3PAR and 4 paths to the second 3PAR
3. 3.2.2.709 (MU6)+P99,P107,P119,P131,P135,P138,P139,P146,P149
4. Yes Hyper-V
5. Path verify is enabled,
6. Path management and auto failover are enabled in Remotecopy groups.

Hi G├╝nter Niersbach
Thank you for responding to the questions asked.
I request you to please verify :
тАв The Subnet used by Failover Cluster LAN/Public network on all nodes is defined in Active Directory Sites. and Services
тАв Whether if it is pointing to the correct AD Site.
