servicemag test relocate chunklet

Dear All,

 

I try testing servicemag relocate chunklet in normal disk but it cannot resume, how can use servicemag resume chunklet back? Because just testing and the disk without replace, thanks.

When I execute servicemag resume 1 11 and the pdid 23 returm from degraded to normal but reume failed.

You should NOT be using -pdid, unless you are really really going to replace the drive.

(I made that mistake once.)-:

If you just wanted to test, you should give it cage and mag numbers instead:

   servicemag start 1 11

 

Or specify the -nodisks option.

 

There are some other subcommands:

unmark

   Specifies that the servicemag operation is stopped and its internal state is reset.   ...

   The 'unmark' option should not be used without consulting with HP engineering.

clearstatus

 

I forget what combinations I used to clear it up.

Or whether I had to manually spin up, onloop and move the chunklets back.

 

It now may be easier to just replace the drive.  But you could talk to Support to see if they have something easier.

It looks like you just need to do:

servicemag unmark 1 11

servicemag resume 1 11
