I'm about to buy one but need to know if it is down switchable... I.E. can it run at 10MB or 100MB as well as 1000MB?

You may not be able to buy the card as it was discontinued. HP recommends to buy the card A6825A in replacement. It is also a 3 speed card (10 / 100/ 1000 Mbps).
