Re: A5158A 1GB CARD

Yes it does (and i'm speaking from experience), as we currently have rp7400s with A5158A fibre channel HBAs installed and connected in a Fabric topology.

Re: A5158A 1GB CARD

Yes you could configure your topology to Fabric as both the card (A5158A) and Brocade 2800 switch support fabric.
You need to change the port setting on the switch from loop to fabric and the card on the server should be able to login as fabric mode on the switch

Re: A5158A 1GB CARD

certainly does, just make sure you are using at least the B.11.00.03 version of the driver

Re: A5158A 1GB CARD

Uhhhmmmm....you're connected to a Brocade 2800 *switch*. You're already in a fabric switched SANetwork.

My 2 cents,
Jeff

Re: A5158A 1GB CARD

Be aware if you change the topology all of your hardware pathes and device files will probably change. This means, you have to adjust all of your systems configurations.
Especially your vPars won't boot.
Are you aware of this?

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
