Is possible to install a CPU to 360Mhz (L1000-36) in a L1000-44 with a CPU to 440Mhz

what you actually asking is if you can overclock the CPU ?

The chip is used in both machines
Up to 440MHz frequency with 2.0V core voltage
I suggest you CONTACT HP dealer directly, as you otherwise could be making a very expensive assumption.
