Compatibility between L1000-44 / L1000-36

Is possible to install a CPU to 360Mhz (L1000-36) in a L1000-44 with a CPU to 440Mhz

what you actually asking is if you can overclock the CPU ?

The chip is used in both machines
Up to 440MHz frequency with 2.0V core voltage

I suggest you CONTACT HP dealer directly, as you otherwise could be making a very expensive assumption.

No, you can't. All CPUs must run at the same clock speed...
