Below is how the memory is configured now:

---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Re: Configuration of memory in rp5470
Slot Num Configured and Slot label for each DIMM (MB)
-------- --------------------------------------------
0a 2a 1a 3a 3b 1b 2b 0b
---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----
EXT 0 512 512 512 512 512 512 512 512
EXT 1 256 256 256 256 256 256 256 256
This is correct:
Extender
Slot Num Configured and Slot label for each DIMM (MB)
-------- --------------------------------------------
0a 2a 1a 3a 3b 1b 2b 0b
---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----
EXT 0 512 256 512 256 256 512 256 512
EXT 1 512 256 512 256 256 512 256 512
You always go from highest capacity dimms in the lowest numbered slots to the lower capacity dimms in higher numbered slots. AND, if possible, balance between the extenders.

Re: Configuration of memory in rp5470
your suggestion looks good!
Starting with the 512MB modules you should start like this:
EXT0 - 0A/B
EXT1 - 0A/B
EXT0 - 1A/B
EXT1 - 1A/B
and so on ...
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
