Solutionit's not possible to connect a dialout modem to the remote port on the rp7410.
The design has changed in compare with the rp7400. The Remote Port has only a physical (serial) connection to the MP (Management Processor). To connect a dialout modem you a additional MUX card.
Best regards,
Udo

Re: Connect a dialout only modem to rp7410 REMOTE port
there is no way to dial out on the rp7410 Core I/O remote modem port. This is because there is no internal serial interface the OS can access. This port can only be used to dial in to the MP.
If you do not use an UPS, you can connect a modem to the UPS port for dial out. (ttyd0p2)
This should work.

Re: Connect a dialout only modem to rp7410 REMOTE port
Additional info :
together with the MUX interface you need the port multiplier for the MUX and the correct cables to connect the modem to it.
If you want to dial in & out, do not use the CCITT setup.
