CPU's on N4000 are 550Mhz but itick_per_usec show 440.

I replaced 8 CPU's from 440Mhz to 550Mhz. The system still shows the speed at boot and itick that they are 440Mhz. Is there something I need to do to show the correct speed? Thanks

Hi,

you have to adjust the DIP switches on the system board to the 550MHz values.
The settings depend on the systemboard revision (A/B/C).

I am having trouble booting the system now and did not mark the 440 dipswitch. Would you by any chance know the settings for 440?

I have found the dip switch settings and moved it back to original state. It seems that this board A3639-60006 Rev A4 can only be set to 340 or 440Mhz, am I correct? and do I need to get a new board in order to use the 550Mhz cpu's? Also Thanks for the replies back, they were very helpful.

you are correct the Board you have is a revision A and will work up to 440 proc.
you need revision B system board P/N A3639-60020 in order to work with the 550Mhz processors.
