Re: Fault led is Glowing

Hi,

Error is indicating that you have a memory module failure.
You need to log a HW call to the Response Center to have it replaced.
The system will not boot until it's removed/replaced.

Hi,

As per the GSP system log, the DIMM at slot "1A" is giving " control address parity error". You need to replace this memory module.

The log also show problem with a cabinet fan no 5. Check the fan if it is jamed or something. It may be required to replace as well.

Log a h/w call to HP and replace those components to get rid of the problems.

Re: Fault led is Glowing

if system is not booting capture the information from MAIN menu > ser ===>enter

Service Menu : MAIN menu > pdt

Anyway your logs indicating the H/W error . I think there might be multibit memory error that's the reason system is not booting

Re: Fault led is Glowing

Memory and fan need to be addressed. Worse case if u dont have a contract with HP and u wanna do it urself , unplug this memory at 1A and its counterpart at 1B as per memory installation instructions and try starting , then tackle the fan issue is still not booting , hopefully u have dual fan in which case, you have enough cooling from 1 fan to power on , so unplug that failed fan.. although if it is indeed the fan that is not lettting u boot then it means that u need that fan working to boot.. get a replacement .. or fix it if u have good h/w techies..

Good call Samir,
I am trying to figure out how you assume the exact module , the 1A module is faulty ?? where did u pick that up from ?
Is ther a manual on reading these codes?

REASON FOR ALERT

Re: Fault led is Glowing

Hi Megha,

It lloks too me there is something wrong with the power.
Your high voltage gives an error. Because your low voltage power is good so therefor the booting process is going futher.
What sometimes does the trick to power off the system. Also remove the power cables for ten minutes then put them back and power on the system. If this did the trick you must look at your firmware probebly your running with an older version off the firmware.

Hi,

While trying to put only two modules in 0a, 0b , have you tried using different two modules in this place.

Divide 8 modules in 4 pairs, and then try installing one pair at a time in the mendatory two slots every time and try reboot. Before every reboot first acknowledge the pending logs in the GSP.
