Re: Fibre Card A6795A with L3000

The Fiber Channel A6795A was installed in slot 5 of L3000 but is not observed in ioscan - fnkC fc UNDER is a HP-ux 11,00, the fiber channel A6795A is been worth for this server?

Re: Fibre Card A6795A with L3000

This card will work in the rp5470 under 11.0, I have installed in an identical configuration myself.

please run xstm or mstm, and run the information tool on the CPU, and let us know what the PDC revision is.

Thanks,
Josh

Re: Fibre Card A6795A with L3000

If the card does not show _at all_ in ioscan as opposed to shows as unclaimed, I'd wonder if the card were properly seated in the slot. Might also try a different slot, and if possible, make sure that card _is_ seen on another system (ie make sure the card is actually good)

Re: Fibre Card A6795A with L3000

The card settled in slot 3 and 5, having the same result, were proven in another server of same the characteristics and gave the same result. The PDC is the 41,36, I must change it to 43.43? of being thus, they have some services notes for this change?

Re: Fibre Card A6795A with L3000

You should upgrade to 43.43 PDC. the card will not show until you upgrade to a minimum firmware level (42.06, I think).
