Firmware - k460's

we have some old K460's. like the Lclass and the Nclass can the firmware on this be upgraded too? Pleae advise

Yes, the L's and N's can be upgraded via standard patchsets. The old K-box was usually done by making a bootable tape.

Although we don't have K460 servers any more, I remember I did the firmware upgrade on those servers.

The problem that you are going to have is finding the firmware updates for the old K. There used to a a "firmware" section under the patch database but that has been improved and the new location lists no firmware for the K460. You probably need to contact HP support for this although the first step would be to determine if a firmware upgrade is needed? I have upgraded firmware on many, many boxes without problem but you should be aware that if a failure occurs, you just turned your box into a boat anchor. Of course, a K-box probably is a boat anchor these days.

Hp removed all the K class firmware download links.
I do not know what level you are at now but you can download firmware from the following link:
