I noticed when pressing CTRL+B, I get nothing:
# ^B
sh: ^B: not found.
I'm plugged into the Serial1/Console port at the back. No other console options.
I tried:
# stty +resetGSP sh: /dev/GSPdiag1: Cannot find or open the file.
There was no file under /dev called GSDdiag1 so I did:
# mknod /dev/GSPdiag1 c 1 0x000080
# stty +resetGSP sh: /dev/GSPdiag1: Cannot find or open the file.
Still nothing. Any ideas?

Re: GSP/MP on 9000/861/D270 ?
As I recall, on the old D-class there was a button (small toggle-like switch?) on the back of the server that must be enabled to allow CTL_B. This was akin to the K-class key in switch in the front of the server.
Regards!

Maybe no GSP back then? I wish I knew my server history!

Re: GSP/MP on 9000/861/D270 ?
There was an *optional* access port card providing a modem connection - this is probably the card mentioned above. Again - this was optional only.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

http://docs.hp.com/en/A3262-90013/A3262-90013.pdf
the card was standard for D3xx and an option for D2xx.
Grep for "Remote Management/Access Port Card"
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: GSP/MP on 9000/861/D270 ?
There never was a gsp/mp on the D-Class server. Below is an overview of the D-Class server including links to documentation and firmware updates.
