GSP port speed

How do you find out what the speed is of the GSP. I need to give that information to the network people so they can configure the switch properly. I figured it was either 10 or 100 but need to find out for sure.

Thanks!

Re: GSP port speed

I believe it would depend on the server model. What have you got?

If the information is available it would be listed with the LS (Lan Speed) command.

Re: GSP port speed

I tried LS, and it comes up with everything but the speed.

Thanks,

Re: GSP port speed

Shalom Sally,

GSP ports don't really do a lot and don't need fast connections. I understand the need to know how to configure the network port, but autonegotiate should work well with all GSP models.

If you want to do a manual network port configuration the data varied by server model.

Re: GSP port speed

The rev A GSP can do only 10MB/s, this is why you don't see the status while running LS. The newer L-Class GSP can do 10 or 100, but I'm sure you have only a rev A part in your L-1000.
It's running at a speed of 10 only.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
