I have a customer that has a k class 900 420 server that the only message that he gets is " Proceeding to DC Power " when he turns the machine on. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: hp 9000 server message

hi,

Its time to call your HP support engineer.

Its a hardware problem, probably have a damaged processor, processor board or a power supply.

Can you post the detailed error message which you see on the console

with best wishes

Re: hp 9000 server message

Often I have found that this message indicates bad seating of a CPU or bad CPU... could also be Power Supply, Core I/O or System Board. Many possibilities.

I would first try pulling CPU's and blowing out the connectors (possible dust)... then reseat.

Thanks,

Dear Carl
I have the same problem on a K220 when I turno off the server.
I resolve him/it unthreading the CPUs and inserting again her.
It tries so, me the problem I associate it to the power.
