I need to know which precise version of HP-UX 11.00 is installed on a server.
In other words I need to know if HP-UX 11.00 has been installed from a CDROM of December 2001 or September 2004 or other...

use this command:
# swlist -a revision

the patch level is indicated by the date encoded in the qpk. (ie 200112 for Dec. 2001)

# swlist -a revision
# swlist -v UXCoreMedia

It gives a lot of details.
