Impossible to accede to MP Menu....

Hello,

I can't accede to MP Menu...
One of my colleague MP reset button on RP3440, so I try to accede MP Menu with Admin / Admin login and password and I have:

MP login:

and
MP login:
and
MP login:

I never have "MP password:"

So I can't accede to MP Menu... someone can help me ?

Hi,
Are you typing the Admin loginname or you do just enter?
Anyway you could try with no login just enter, and no password just enter.

No... I only try with login : Admin.
I will try with no login and no passwd, just enter.

Hi,
By defualt the MP Login is Admin and Password is also Admin. So try giving that.

MP login:
MP Password:

Remember here A is in uppercase and other character are in lowercase.

If yo have the defaults...try:

login: admin
passw: admin

or

login: admin
passw: admin_

or

login: Admin
passw: Admin

or...

reset the MP, I think you may do it by:

#stty +resetGSP < /dev/GSPdiag1

or on the reset button, just press it for several seconds

Hi Oliva,

The default user & password is :

user : Admin
passwd : Admin

OR

user : Oper
passwd : Oper

If you try the user & password above and still not success, you need to reset the MP card (see the MP reset button at the back of the system).

Check the url below for the location of MP reset button (page 12):

Just press the button for 2-3 seconds and after that try with the default password (see above).

Hi Oliva,

You need to login first to MP first, and after that you can goto the HP-UX console by execute 'CO' command :

MP> co [enter]

The other way to access the console is to use console serial port (check the cable with the tag 'console'). For this you need the console serial cable connect to your PC/notebook.

After loging in to MP type CO, then to gain write acess you must press CTRL-Ecf
