K460 in a 2 nodes cluster rebooted

node 1 : k460 running 11.0 rebooted.

no entries in shutdown log:
14:34 Fri Sep 28, 2007. Reboot: (by orax1!bl)
04:24 Sat Nov 3, 2007. Halt: (by orax2!wn)
the latter is when user rebooted the system.

old syslog was overwritten since user rebooted both nodes.

the oracle package log has no significant errors.

ts97 shows HPMCs on all 4 CPUs at the time the user is identifying the reboot.

what should we look into?

Hi Moonchild

You should send your server's latest tombstone records to HP support

tombstones located /var/tombstones directory and latest tombstone like ts99, please check the dates

the ts99 had no valid timestamps since the user rebooted the system after the unexpected reboot.

only the ts97 had valid timestamps

So you should send ts97, anyway sometimes older tombstones also gives information about problem therefore you can send ts96, ts95 maybe ts94.

Do you have any current /var/adm/crash ?

I have looked into the HPMC file this is generated on Nov 03...

Issue seems to be with the CPU3 or it could be with the PDC firmware version.

Am not sure if HP denys to supports 11.00 anymore. It could be possible that the are not doing any further upgrades or patch genearation to this version.

You may check the PDC firmware version from cstm.

cstm>il ==> output of this will tell u the PDC Firmware Revision.

Latest version for this box is 41.33, if this is already installed on your box then would suggest you to think of replacing the cpu3 as primary suspect.
