L1000 jumper settings

does anyone have a link for the dip switch / jumper settings on the main board of the L1000 (A5576A) for 440MHz PA8500 CPU use?

Thanks

Re: L1000 jumper settings

Do you know the part number of the CPU installed? If they are indeed 440's:

set S1 on the system board for 440 MHz operation:
1 2 3 4 5

Verify by interrupting boot and IN PR (if you have appropriate firmware 39.46 or later) at main menu should report:

9000/800/L1000-44

Re: L1000 jumper settings

Hi Tonya, we set that jumper configuration and the 2 x 440MHz CPUs (A5522A) only show up as 360Mhz CPUs. is there something that were missing?

Re: L1000 jumper settings

ok, we got it... we need a better firmware version, we have 40.19 and I guess we need 40.58. Our 440MHz CPUs are running at 440MHz but the system only says its running at 360MHz when using that 40.19 firmware version.

No problem and thanks for the input.

Re: L1000 jumper settings

Hi,

In fact, in the firmware version 40.26 , this issue was fixed.
Refer following document
http://www2.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/patchDetail.do?BC=patch.breadcrumb.main|patch.breadcrumb.search|&patchid=PF_CRHW4428&context=firmware:cpu

You are right in saying that the CPU actually works at 440MHz but it shows 360Mhz in the current version.

If you want you can upgrade the PDC firmware to latest at 44.28
