L2000 temperature via GSP

Is there a command that will inform me of the temperature inside the server? I know the server shuts down at a certain temperature threshold, but I'm just curious if I can find out what the temperature is at any time.

I've looked into this before, you can get alerts but I don't think you can ask what temp at any time.

System(L2000) does not send any information for normal temperature condition unless it's over heat.

/etc/envd.conf file is to set mail and paging for OverTemp.
Related files are /etc/rc.config.d/envd and /sbin/init.d/envd

Temperature operation limits for L Series is 5 degree centi grade to 35 C or ( 41 F - 95 F)

recommended Operation range 20 C - 25 C ( 68 - 77 F)

as the other have say, there is no command to tell the operating temperature.

hi brad,

from my personal experience in this forum, there are 3 types of users. those who help, those who was helped and show gratitude by giving feedback and/or assign points and finally those who wants help but do not even give any feedback, i.e. "thank you", "your answer helped", etc, and/or even assign any points. this last type of user really "eeks" (too polite to mention other "finer" word) me.

i would not go to the extent of calling it begging. this forum is successful because of this reward system which encourages people to give their knowledge and experience. i was only reminding those who repeatedly failed to follow the etiquette of this fine system.

Hi Brad,

Even though this reply is not for the primary post, I am forced to reply.

As indicated by Joseph, it is not begging. The points assigning is very important because most of the people who respond, would check the history of the person posting a question. If that person is not good in assigning points they may not reply.

This may in turn deny the person the vital information. If you do not want to indicate this to the person posting the question, then you cannot question the people who do not reply because of poor points assigning history.

So, for mutual benefit let us encourage everybody to follow the forum etiquette.
