Hi,
I'm struggling a little bit to find any useful information with regards to this. I need to find out the power consumption of an L3000-5x (1 x 550MHx CPU) with 4 two PSUs connected, 3 Gig of RAM, 4 internal disks and it's BTU output.
I've found a few links in old threads but none of them seem to work any more.
I also need to find out the same information for a DS2300 disk enclosure with 6 146GB SCSI disks in it.
Any help would be appreciated. Regards - Lee

Solution
Lee - can't give you accurate figures, but can give you averages for the rp5470 (L3000), which you should be under, given you have only 1 processor:
Current requirement - 6.5A across inputs
Power dissipation - 1008W
Max kW rating for UPS - 1.3kW
Typical Heat dissipation 3000BTUs/Hr
The DS2300 manual is here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/lpg29283/lpg29283.pdf
It contains all the electrical characteristics you need.

Re: L3000-5x Power Requirements and BTU
Thanks Duncan, that's exactly what I was after.
Cheers!
