Lan console on A class

Do you know of any docs that detail the set-up for a Lan console for the A class server.

Should i see a separate entry in ioscan for the lan console?
Well I don't.

Thanks

Re: Lan console on A class

I don't think you'd see this in an ioscan, it's part of the gsp.

Have a look at this post and read Bill H's reply.

There is also a h/w manual for the A400/A500's here.

Hope this helps,

Re: Lan console on A class

Open an internet browser from your desktop and then enter the IP address of the LAN console which you configured.

Re: Lan console on A class

Yes, just telnet to the GSP ip, but two rules to remember.

a) The speed and duplex are printed on the back of the A class server where the ethernet cable connects. Note this and match you SWITCH port to it. It will something like 10 BaseT full duplex.

b1) <'ctrl c'>
b2) E&F together to take over the console when first telneting in.

Re: Lan console on A class

I'll have to verify the GSP session later now.

But when I do I'll get back to you. That way I can assign appropiate points.

thanks for the help.
