Latest equivalent of rp2470

Hello we have a five year old PA-RISC rp2470 server that has a single 750 MHz processor running HP-UX 11.11. We want to replace this box with the latest Itanium 64 equivalent available from HP. We plan on running HP-UX 11.23 ia64 on this new server.

Could someone out there please tell me what that model number is?

Thank you.

Re: Latest equivalent of rp2470

I would take one of the entry level servers, maybe the rx2660 or rx3600:

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Latest equivalent of rp2470

Important:
If you want to use the internal disks in a hardware RAID, you should consider to order the smart array controller option for these servers. If you want to connect external SAS disks later, have a look at the P800.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Latest equivalent of rp2470

Thanks Torsten.
We'll just have two internal disks in the new box (boot disk and mirror). All other storage will be on our SAN.

Thanks again.

Re: Latest equivalent of rp2470

I tried to find the price of an rx2660, but
failed. HP's web site implies they only
want to sell to "Large Businesses" :(

BTW, I might be interested in talking to you
about your old rp2470.

thanks,
