make_tape_recovery list_expander warning but no log to be found

I get the following error:
WARNING: list_expander returned a warning,please check the log file.
* Creating Archive Configuration

yet I am unable to find a log file. I see log files that specify the date and what might have occurred during that session, but no mention of list_expander anywhere. Any ideas where I would find this or why this happens?
System Info:
HP-UX 10.20
K460
DDS internal drive
Command:
/opt/ignite/bin/make_tape_recovery -Av -a/dev/rmt/0mn

/var/opt/ignite/recovery/latest/recovery.log

The file is recovery.log and it should be in /var/opt/ignite/recovery
