Memory Error Log Summary
The memory error log is empty.
Question:
1) How many memory still can be added for above 2 servers? And what is the max MB per single memory that these 2 servers can support?
2) For RP5470, there is some errors on the memory. How I'm going to troubleshoot based on these errors messages?
3) How many CPU still can be added for above 2 servers? What is the max mhz per single CPU that these 2 servers can support?
For RP5470 & RP7410, both current CPU is 2 x 875 MHz, PA-RISC2.0, v.

Re: Memory for RP5470 & RP7410
Thanks for your fast response.
Q1) For RP5470, there are total 16 slots. The max memory that can support is 16GB. Is means that 1 slot can support up to max 1GB?
Q2) For RP7410, there are total 16 slots. The max memory that can support is 64GB. Is means that 1 slot can support up to max 4GB?
Q3) How to find out the available memory & CPU slots? What I mean is in order to add the memory & CPU up to max for these 2 servers, do I need to buy extra slot/scsi? Or the server itself already come with all the slot/scsi?
regards.

Re: Memory for RP5470 & RP7410
RP7410
max 16 GB per cell board,32 GB with two cell boards
The minimum cell configuration includes two active CPUs and 1 GB of memory per cell board.
The maximum configuration includes four active CPUs and 16 GB of memory per cell board.
Memory DIMM modules for the rp7410 are sold in sets of four (quads), with DIMM board
sizes of 256 MB, 512 MB, and 1 GB available at first release. Memory quads of different
sizes can be mixed within a chassis and within a cell. However, for optimum memory
interleaving and performance, it is recommended that one memory size be selected and
distributed evenly across available cells.

Re: Memory for RP5470 & RP7410
1) For RP5470, the default memory slots is 8 with each max up to 1GB and can support up to 2 CPUs. But according to the nickel info, currently the server seems like has 16 memory slots and can support up to 4 CPUs without buying any extra cell board/slots. Am I right?
2) For RP7410, 1 cell board consists of 16 memory slots with each max up to 2GB and can support up to 4 CPUs. Based on above kernel, currently the server seems like has 1 cell board. Am I right?
regards.
