MirrorDisk on multiple drives
Can you can mirror two different drives simultaneously on an L1000? We already mirror one drive that has the OS, but we would also like to mirror the data drive. Thank you.

Re: MirrorDisk on multiple drives
hi,
yes you can, mirrordisk/ux dosent just allow mirroring of root vg.
you can mirror many as drives as your system allows.
so if you have 4 drives in the L1000 you can have one drive mirrored to another for root vg/hpux and another mirrored drive/data mirrored to another drive in the system.

Re: MirrorDisk on multiple drives
yes, use the lvextend command with the -m option with the value of greater than 1 for more than 1 mirror copy.

Re: MirrorDisk on multiple drives
Steve,
First verify you have the software installed: swlist -l bundle|grep -i MirrorDisk/UX. This software allows you mirror drives beyond root drives.
The steps are the same as you mirror root drives except you don't need prepare disk as boot drive. Good luck.
