no core cell while creating a npartition

hi

I am trying to create an npartition on one of my hpux server and getting an error "there are no unassigned cells in the complex that can be the new npartitions core-cell"

the second cellboard propertios showing core io capable = no

any solution for this?

make sure it has an I/O chassis conected, an dthat you have a core i/o card in slot 0 of that chassis.

what is a core-io card , give me some examples..

I have a dual scsi card with slot0 of the another chasis..
this kind of card is ok?

no it is not
Which model server do you have?

Hi

You can think core i/o is onboard I/O. Check this picture for 8620

The core i/o right side of the server when you look at server from behind.
Core I/O includes on board LAN, on board SCSI etc.

for thios type of server you need a second Management Processor, that will fit into the lower slot on the right hand side as you look at the rear of the server.
You will already have one, you need to order another of those.
